Assisting design graduates in starting-up
Design graduates leaving university need advice both on the basics of setting up a business and on areas where they often experience difficulties. These include how best to get their designs to market, how to work with clients, time management, and how to negotiate a deal. It’s increasingly important for them to understand how the professional industry works and the value they add in order to be paid appropriately.
The Massimo Gray Foundation is passionate about getting creatives valued in society and by business in particular. Often creatives are the last to be paid, and are frequently underpaid. This situation persists as they often undervalue themselves, and do not fully understand the negotiation process. The Massimo Gray Foundation provides assistance and training in filling these knowledge gaps.
Training is provided through seminars and workshops and in partnership with The Design Trust. Moreover, an award of a coaching programme is made to 2 design graduates each year. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for more information on this award.
