Long-term business support
and advice to creative companies

CONSULTANCY
Need
Creative companies can find themselves in positions where even once they have established a foothold, they find it difficult to grow beyond a certain point. The creatives running the business focus increasingly on business itself rather than creativity, but may still put off important decisions due to a lack of confidence and clarity. They may well have a desire to explore their creativity in a different way and look at different opportunities - but find this an impossible ask whilst maintaining their current obligations. Issues around financing, partnership and succession are particularly perplexing.
Process
As well as coaching the key member/s of the team, the consultancy process identifies and rates strategic opportunities currently available, taking into account both the creative offer and the business environment. Working closely together, introductions are made to industry counterparts from both the creative and business worlds that can facilitate these opportunities. Key knowledge gaps are filled, sometimes with the assistance of specialist advice available including HR, Financial, Marketing and Media Coaching. New deals are negotiated. Structure and criteria are added that instead of diluting creativity, support creativity.
Results
Companies that have worked with Massimo Gray have seen dramatic results. Increased understanding of what the business world can offer, and in turn requires, has enabled creative companies to grow substantially and add to their offer, both with existing clients and also in new markets. The clear criteria that are established enable informed decision making so questions such as “how to finance” and “whether to seek partnership” are easier to deal with. The increased confidence in this structure and it’s management allows creativity to flourish. That makes for a virtuous circle.
